Hello Everyone!
Reaching out from SCSU. I have a few questions for all of you. There has been a rise of a particular trend we are starting to experience. It is not wide spread but we are seeing it more often.
Have any of your practicum sites started requiring either trainees or your university to pay a placement or supervision fee (either monthly or a one-time fee)? If so, how widespread is this practice within your network?
Have any of you developed formal policies or funding strategies to cover supervision or placement fees at practicum sites? For example, are you using stipends, institutional budgets, or passing costs to students?
Would really like to hear from anyone who is currently seeing this growing trend or already dealing with it. Hope to hear from you all!
