I hope everyone is having some fun time this summer. I am still busily finding placements.
However I am also working on a project reviewing our Advanced Standing policies. Currently we give up to 21 credits for Advanced standing students. They must have a B or above to receive credit. Our timeline is 5 years back. So that incoming BSW 's into our MSW program have to have graduated between 2017 and 2022. I am interested in how other programs  handle the timeline . How many years back do you go to give advanced Standing status ?

UTEP's timeline is 5 years but we give up to 21 hours as well.

We will do up to 10 years, especially if someone has been working in the field at the BSW level.  We've even made exceptions for more than 10 years if someone has been a social work professional at the BSW level.  Sometimes these folks are far more prepared for advanced standing and graduate-level social work practice than a 22-year-old recent BSW graduate with no experience.
