Greetings colleagues!
I am hoping the fall semester finds you safe and well.
I wanted to share that the University of Vermont is hiring a non-tenure track (NTT) lecturer for Fall 2026 to support teaching and advising in our BSW and MSW programs, as well as the growth of our practicum education program.
Candidates should have the ability to teach and develop curriculum in a Social Work department with an underpinning philosophy of transformative perspectives. The position will involve instructing in core areas of the social work curriculum (e.g., human behavior and the social environment, generalist social work practice, and/or social policy), as well as practicum education administration, academic advising, and departmental service. Expertise in any of the above areas is preferred and minimum requirements include:
- Earned MSW degree;
- Two years or more post-master's social work practice experience;
- Demonstration of commitment to principles of social justice, experience working with culturally and linguistically unique populations, and promotion of Our Common Ground values in practice;
- Enthusiasm and capacity to teach within the Department's philosophy and distinctive curricula (transformative perspectives); and
- Strong collegial, communication, and collaborative skills.
The full posting can be viewed here: SOCIAL WORK - LECTURER (NON-TENURE TRACK).
If you could share this listing with your professional networks, it would be a kindness, or feel free to direct any questions to myself (Jean Sienkewicz, Senior Lecturer/Practicum Education Coordinator, jsienkew@uvm.edu) or Cassie Gillespie, Lecturer (Cassie.Gillespie@uvm.edu).
Please take good care,
Jean
