Hello Everyone and Happy Friday-Eve,

I am reaching out to everyone because I have some general questions surrounding how Placement related assignments (Learning contract and reflection assignments) and Practice Seminar requirements are differentiated. Do institutions use one syllabus that encompasses everything, or do you use different syllabi? 

This has recently come up because as a new practicum education team at our institution, we are experiencing some push back from seasoned liaisons who would like more autonomy over the seminar course they teach. This semester we provided an assigned text book and readings but did not get the best feedback. I will say this varied by liaison section. 

What is everyone else doing. What is a promising practice.

We have master syllabi that we expect all liaisons to use for FIS, however they have liberty to guide discussions and respond to student needs.
