    Happy Tuesday to All,

First and foremost, I hope everyone is doing well physically, spiritually, and emotionally.

I am going down a rabbit hole to find activities that bring community among current students in the Field while also providing them with insightful content. I found one idea related to bringing in folks to review their resumes. Yet, that was on the simpler side of ideas. All ideas are welcomed.

Thank you for your time in advanced.

    Blessings,

In field seminar we specifically  scheduled time and resources to address the preparation of resumes, letters of introduction / interest, and state licensure requirements, and graduate school applications..

Many universities have  some sort of placement office that can help with this detail. But I've found their  resources and guidance to be extremely "generic" and not always helpful.

I found a very well done information manual at a near by  state university, then asked and received permission to copy and heavily edit it to reflect the details related to professional social work.  I'm "at the lake" right now but when I get home next week, if you'd like, I'd be glad to share this on the resource page here.

Monitoring numerous SW student discussion forums and  facebook pages, I'm appalled by how many students seemingly have no notion as to these details, and in particular to the details related to professional licensure.

Thank you so much for responding. I hope you were able to enjoy the lake to the fullest extent!

I will happily take you up on the resource you mentioned. My students reacted positively to the idea that I would take some time to discuss other items outside of coursework and placement.

    Blessings,
