Hello Everyone,
I am eager to hear what some of your policies are regarding student coverage of university issued liability insurance especially during major breaks. For instance we have a policy that students interning during major breaks need to be approved by the field office first. Secondly is they plan on working in the placements during major closures such as Winter Break, they will be issues an incomplete because if they are issued a grade during the break, technically they are no longer covered by the liability insurance until field placement resumes. I hope this makes sense. I will say that this does not always look good on the school because this past winter break we had about 70 students with incompletes because they were going to be continuing their placement although the school was closed.
I am curious about you best practices.
