You are being invited to participate in a research study called "Social Work Students' Experiences with Employer-Based Practicum" by Jenifer Gamble, PhD, MSSW, Lindsey Rinehart, MSW, and Alexandra Scroggins, MSW. You must have completed/are completing an Employer-Based Practicum to participate in this study.
Study Overview: This team of social work researchers is looking to better understand the impact that Employer-Based Practicum (EBP) may have had on social work students and their ability to complete their social work degree.
Why Participate: The following survey items have been designed to better understand the motivating factors, benefits, and drawbacks that completing an EBP may have had for students and their ability to navigate their educational program and their lives. Aggregate response data may be shared to help other social work programs improve on the program options available to students.
How to Participate: As a participant, you will be asked to complete a survey that should take approximately 10 minutes. Participation in this survey is voluntary. All responses are anonymous. You may refuse to take part in the research or exit the survey at any time without penalty and are free to decline to answer any question you do not wish to answer for any reason.
Social Work Students' Experiences with Employer-Based Practicum Survey
Informed Consent: Your participation in this research is voluntary. Refusal to participate (or discontinue participation) will involve no penalty or loss of benefits to which you are otherwise entitled. By completing items in this anonymous survey, you are consenting to research participation. This research has IRB Exemption Approval and is Research Protocol Number #6440.
Deadline: The survey will be open until May 23, 2025. We kindly ask for your participation before this date.
