    Greetings everyone,

My colleague Dr. Melvin Cherry and I are conducting a research study examining field instructors' perspectives on disability justice, gatekeeping responsibilities, and decision-making in social work field education. The study seeks to better understand how field instructors navigate the complex balance between supporting student success, ensuring professional competence, and addressing disability-related accommodations in practicum settings.

Participation involves completing an anonymous online survey that takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. The study is open to current or recent social work field instructors affiliated with CSWE-accredited programs. No identifying information will be collected through the survey, and participation is entirely voluntary.

We believe this study will contribute valuable insights to ongoing conversations about field education, disability inclusion, and ethical gatekeeping practices in social work education.

Attached, please find the survey flyer containing additional details and the survey link. Please consider sharing this with your field instructors so their voices can be represented!

    Thank you!
