Field Directors

Hello all,

ETSU Field is trying to look at new platforms for our internship process.  We are looking at IPT/ALCEA, Sonia, Watermark Insights, Core/Elms and Time 2Track. If you are using one of these programs could you answer the questions below for us?  I would be happy to share the results with you if you let me know you want them.  Please you can just respond to me at  davisonpj@etsu.edu.

 We are asking people using any of these field management data bases to let us know which one and then answer a few questions about the platform for us.   

What is the most prevalent complaint about the field data base system you use from:

students?

faculty?

community supervisors?

If you could go back in time to the onboarding process, what would you tell yourself to focus most of  your energy on?

Hi Pam, 

We adopted Sonia about 4 years ago and have been mostly satisfied with the system for our needs. I am curious to know if you received quotes for all of the databases you are looking at currently, as Sonia just increased our cost by about 30%. I've answered below but am happy to answer other questions you might have (klakos.2@osu.edu)

What is the most prevalent complaint about the field data base system you use from:

students? no significant complaints

faculty? wanting to betting understand the back end of sonia so that they can do things like clear signatures. With this, they are also not necessarily interested in being trained. 

community supervisors? How to make the most use of their site in Sonia to attract students. It is difficult to request students since a placement request must be entered for each cohort of students. 

If you could go back in time to the onboarding process, what would you tell yourself to focus most of  your energy on? I would better prepare our team for the amount of time it took to get Sonia up and running for what we need.
