Grand View University, located in Des Moines, Iowa, is hiring for an 8-month full-time tenure-track faculty line for the MSW program.
MSW faculty candidates must have an MSW from a CSWE accredited school and at least two years post-graduate degree practice experience and an earned doctorate by August 2024 and will have primary appointment to the MSW program for teaching and advising. This person may also teach occasionally in the BSW program and will be offered summer teaching appointments. Preference given to candidates who have teaching experience at the graduate level, who can demonstrate familiarity with face-to-face and blended/online platforms, who reflect minoritized populations, and express interest in teaching courses associated with clinical practice.
Grand View has a fully accredited and growing BSW program that helps contribute to the growth of the MSW program, which is in the second year of candidacy (initial accreditation expected in spring 2025). The university is student-centered and reflects higher diversity than the metro area. If you have not considered Des Moines, you might be convinced by knowing it is ranked as one of the most affordable places in the U.S. to live and buy a home, in the top 20 best places to live, and was recently named among the top cities in the country for young people.
