    If your program offers a field/practicum readiness course for BSW students, who teaches it?  We are currently exploring options to offer a field readiness course in the junior year of our BSW program.

    Hi Cara, 

    We offer something like this! Our program reserves this course for full time faculty that are dedicated to teaching our practicum courses. For us, this means that either myself or our Practicum Specialist teach this course. I would be happy to chat further about this at any time! Feel free to reach out if desired.

    I've been thinking a lot about this after it came up in several of the sessions I attended at the APM in Denver. I'd love to know more about structure, content, etc. as I'd like to incorporate it into our program as well! If anyone is thinking about scheduling a time to talk more live, I'd be interested.

    We offer a course like this at the University of Michigan-Flint. Only myself and our Practicum Specialist teach this course given that we are also tackling most of our placement matching during this time, and that would be complicated for any other faculty member to do in our department.     We ran a 1 credit course for BSW Juniors this fall on this exact topic.  As the Director of Practicum I taught the course and will be presenting on it at BPD this spring.
