Field Directors

Hello!
I am seeking field placements for two BSW students. One is Swan Point, MD and one is Summerville, SC. I'm struggling! Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Mae,

I may be able to help with Swan Point.  La Plata is probably the closest town that would have anything.  Mentor Maryland has a location there.  The contact is their regional director, Keyandra Brisco, keyandra.brisco@sevitahealth.com

I just met with her a couple of weeks ago so I know they are looking for students.  Good luck!

I had an MSW student complete an internship at MUSC learning about social determinants of health and medical social work.  It was in Charleston and a successful placement- I don't know if that is close enough or if it would be a good fit or not.  Let me know if you want me to reach out to Rita Aidoo.

Hi Robyn,

That is not a requirement in Missouri before students begin practicum.  We do have certain courses that they have to have completed before they can start practicum, and must receive a certain grade in these course to be eligible to start practicum.
