Hi Lindsey,
I am not familiar with MyClinical Exchange, however I wanted to respond as have similar issues with hospitals in particular. When we are moving through the affiliation agreement process, hospitals often use their own templates for the contract, and typically put the verification of immunizations, background checks, drug screens, etc. as the University needing to verify. However, my University prohibits me handling these documents. We've had to use a third party verification system, CastleBranch. The issue, just as you said, is the cost to students and delays that we've experienced. I am wondering if CastleBranch is related to MyClinicalExchange. We are currently trying to identify some resources to assist our students with the cost. Beyond that, I always just hope that during the agreement process, the hospital covers the onboarding.

Subject: Experiences with MyClinicalExchange
I'm curious if others have been experiencing more hospitals using the MyClinicalExchange program and if you have found problems or successes with this. We've been encountering this system more frequently the past couple of years and has made internships in hospitals much more difficult. It seems that the hospital put all of the clearance/onboarding process onto the schools and and students while also requiring students to pay to utilize their system. It has lead to delays in students placements and I'm becoming weary of allowing students to move forward with sites that utilize this system but I certainly don't want to inhibit options for student placements in hospitals.
Wondering what experiences others have had with this system!
Thanks,
