Hi Katie. We include the following questions on our Practicum Opportunity Application for new partnerships and then have a searchable database where we and students can access this information:
ADA Accessibility
Description (optional)
Is your building ADA accessible from the outside? (i.e., curb/sidewalk ramps, building ramps for wheelchair or walker)
Is your building ADA accessible on the inside? (i.e., elevator access to floors other than ground floor, bathroom accessible)
Do you have ADA accessibility to workspaces? (i.e., meeting rooms, lunch room, desk space)
Other accessibility practices at your site? (e.g. low/no-scent work environment)
We include the following in our Handbook, and in our Practicum Applications for students:
DISABILITIES
If you are registered with the PSU Disability Resource Center (DRC), you are strongly encouraged to schedule a meeting with your DRC Access Counselor and Consultant, prior to beginning your placement, to discuss any possible accommodations related to your success in a practicum.
If you are not already registered with the DRC, but believe you have a disability that you would like accommodated in the field, please schedule an intake prior to beginning your practicum. Accommodations in the field are likely to be different from classroom accommodations and are determined through a collaborative effort between the DRC, the School of Social Work, the field site, and the student. You can contact the DRC at 503 725-4150.
For more detailed information, refer to the: Disability Resource Center Field Placement Accessibility.
Hope this is helpful and happy to answer any questions about our process.

Subject: Disability Accommodations at partner agencies
Good morning,
I am curious to know if anyone has incorporated specific questions about disability accommodations and ADA support for students in their new agency affiliation visits. For those who do, would you be willing to share what questions you are asking and how you advertise this information to prospective students in your field database? Thanks in advance.
Katie
