I am the Director of Field Education and Professor of Social Work for the online MSW program at Herzing University. My educational background includes my BSW and MSW from Adelphi U. in NY and my Ph.D. is in Medical and MH Sociology and Organizational Behavior from Boston U. in MA. I served for almost 3 decades as field education director and professor of SW for the BSW program at Plymouth State U. in Plymouth, NH. Prior experience includes a faculty appointment in the div. of psychiatry at Boston U and holding a variety of direct service, and middle/executive management positions in social service, mental health, healthcare/home health/hospice and school settings. I provide CEU trainings to staff at agencies in areas of practice including ethics, client engagement, self-care and stress management and professional boundary maintenance. In NH, I practice clinical consultation and license supervision with my LICSW.
