Cynthia Baker, Ed.D., MSW, LCSW earned her Doctorate in Education from the University of Southern California and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Missouri. Dr. Baker joined Herzing University August 2022 and is Associate Professor and Director of Field Education for the Master of Social Work Program. 

 

Dr. Baker, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2003, has 21 years of professional experience at all levels of micro, mezzo, and macro settings. She provided student and clinical field supervision, clinical consultation, and continuing education to countless interdisciplinary organizations in mental health, academic and medical settings.

 

Prior to joining Herzing, since 2013, Cynthia worked as a Senior Director, managing more than 60 LCSWs, behavioral health practitioner and interdisciplinary team member in post-acute and nursing communities.  Dr. Baker serves on state board for person-centered care of the aging and a national committee for aging for the National Association of Social Workers.
