Bio

Professor Breitenbucher earned her Master’s in Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino, and is pursuing a doctoral degree in organizational leadership. He has over 20 years of progressively responsible experience managing public child welfare and community-based prevention services. As the Director of the Office of Field Education, Mr. Breitenbucher brings to the role extensive administrative social work experience that includes non-profit social service management, as well as grant development, administration, and evaluation of federal, state, and local grants and contracts, including the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services and U. S. Department of Justice. Professor Breitenbucher’s capacity as Director of the Office of Field Education involves supporting the MSW and BSW programs and active collaboration with community-based agencies, including child welfare, adult protective services, probation, prisons, hospitals, non-profits, and K-12 schools. Mr. Breitenbucher also provides evidence-based training for social work field supervisors, implements best practices in field education, and teaches MSW students how to actively translate social work theory into practice in the field practicum setting.
