Good morning, I am looking at how we conduct our student field assessments. Currently our syllabi for field state that for students to pass their field placement experience, they must achieve a rating of 3 or higher for each practice behavior in each competency. As we are completing program assessments, it is clear that this skews data since nearly all students pass field unless their are bigger issues going on, so we are likely not getting as accurate of ratings from field instructors who don't want students to fail if they are doing good enough work overall.
What minimums do you use for students to 'pass' their field placements? Any suggestions or trends you've noticed?
Thanks!
