Orientation for Field Instructors/Task Supervisor

    Good afternoon everyone!
    We are in the process of reviewing our Field Instructor/Task Supervisor orientations.  Typically this as been about 8 hours face to face or 7 hours via zoom.  Right now it feels old and stale and I was just wondering how others do the orientations for field instructors/task supervisors.

    Hi Tonya,

    We had a similar thought a few years back. In response, we did the following: 

    1. Created an online set of modules (short, 3-10 minute videos) on topics related to field educator orientation: UB Field Ed Orientation Modules
    2. Yearly, in September/October we offer a virtual field educator orientation for 3 CE's
    3. We still provide/offer Zoom field educator orientations that are about 45-60 minutes

    Our orientation runs about 2 hours in person or 1 hour if it's one-on-one.
