I wanted to share a resource I've been using with my Health Theory & Practice class for 2nd yr MSW students at UNC Chapel Hill.
Sumser, B., Leimena, M., Altilio, T. (2018). Palliative Care: A Guide for Health Social Workers: Oxford Press.
This paperback is an extraordinary and complete resource for helping students (and clinicians) understand working with folks who are dealing with chronic or serious illness. Well written and has suggested activities at the end of each chapter. I use so many chapters in the syllabus and the students love them.
