The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) is thrilled to announce the 71st Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado, October 23–26, 2025! Click here to learn more about this year's agenda and to secure your spot!
This year's conference theme, "It's Time to Act: Championing Disability Justice and Disability Joy in Social Work," champions the need for social work conversations around disability joy, justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. The conference will host proposals and conversations around disability joy and the disability justice principles of intersectionality, interdependence, centering those most impacted, mutual aid, cross movement solidarity, recognizing wholeness, commitment to cross-disability solidarity, sustainability, collective access, collective liberation, and opposition to oppressive systems. (Berne et al., 2018; Sins Invalid, 2016).
Whether you're attending one of our five powerful pre-conference institutes, exploring Denver between sessions, or earning continuing education credits, CSWE's conference has something for every social work educator, student, administrator, and practitioner. This year's gathering is packed with opportunities to deepen your impact, network with peers and thought leaders, explore an energizing exhibit hall, and be part of a powerful national dialogue.
