I am new to the group and so apologies in advance if this has already been discussed. I am the Founding Director of MSW program at Purdue University Northwest. We are admitting our first cohort in fall 2025, Yay!!
We have 4 pre-requisites for students before they get admitted into the MSW program:
1.American History/American Govt/Economics
2.Abnormal Psychology/Human Biology/Anatomy/Physiology
3.Sociology/Psychology/Anthropology
4.Statistics
While most of our domestic students have taken all of them in some capacity, we are struggling with international students. They have not had American History/Government and there isn't much time before they arrive for them to take these pre-reqs. How have schools dealt with this?
Any thoughts will be appreciated!
Thanks
Shreya
