The Social Work program at Southwest Minnesota State University is growing!  We are adding THREE new faculty positions to begin in the fall of 2025.  One position requires a doctoral degree (ABD would be considered) and is a tenure-track position and two other positions are fixed-term (renewed each year) and recommend a doctoral degree but it is not required.  All three positions will teach mainly online sections in our program; we have a 4:4 teaching load.  Opportunities to be a remote faculty are an option.  The SMSU Social Work program has grown significantly in recent years with the addition of our fully online, asynchronous program.

Being as these positions are based in Minnesota, faculty can expect to teach ADEI material and content without fear from politicians!  Faculty at public institutions in Minnesota are also union members who enjoy outstanding salary and benefits (health care, retirement, etc.) packages with options to teach in the summer if the faculty member chooses.  If you are interested, please see the job postings link below or contact Jim Smalley, program director, at james.smalley@smsu.edu
