Social Work Education

Hi All,

We are looking for recommendations for liability insurance. Our university is small (est. 2,000 students), and having a blanket coverage through the university doesn't seem like the direction they are trying to go. So we are looking for individual coverage. Who are you using for your students, and what are the typical fees?

Hello!

We require our students to purchase individual liability insurance prior to starting their field practicums.  We also encourage them to join NASW as a student member because it allows them to attend a Student Conference, our state's Lobby Day event and purchase liability insurance through them at a discounted rate.   I believe its about $40 for the year.  https://naswassurance.org/liability-products/   Most of our students opt to go this route.
