The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has released a new Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students (SDS) Program. The SDS program seeks to expand the health workforce by providing scholarships for students from disadvantaged backgrounds pursuing careers in health professions. Eligible applicants include accredited programs offering graduate degrees in social work and other behavioral and mental health professions. HRSA plans to distribute an estimated $51.47 million in funding to approximately 85 grantees over the next five years. To assist with the application process, HRSA will host an SDS Informational Webinar on December 5. Applications close on February 19, 2025.
