    Dr. Yolanda Ross brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her work in clinical and addiction counseling, with over a decade of experience in the field of addiction counseling and HIV advocacy. She is a woman in long-term recovery and is a mother to an adult daughter who is living with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS). She is also a woman who is thriving and living strong with HIV for over 19 years. Dr. Ross is the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)for the Healthy Start Program for Harris County Public Health and is also a part-instructor at the University of Kentucky. She is very passionate about serving women and families who are in recovery from addiction and trauma, addressing and improving social determinants of health, building a strong foundation for long-term success for expecting and postpartum women. Dr. Ross holds a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from the University of Clear-Lake and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Houston. In addition, she holds a second Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA) from the University of Houston-Clear. In May of 2024, Dr. Ross graduated from the University of Kentucky with her Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) and is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of women and families.
