Join CSWE Government Relations at APM and hear the latest from officials from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). HRSA officials will join virtually and provide an overview of the Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) program which supports thousands of social work students. According the HRSA, from academic year (AY) 2014-2022 BHWET program awardees supported the clinical training of 39,926 graduate-level clinical social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, school and mental health counselors, psychiatric nurse practitioners, marriage and family therapists, and behavioral health support workers including community health workers and substance use/addictions workers. The session will take place Friday, October 27 – 11:15 AM – 12:30 PM, and current grantees and those interested in learning more about the program are welcome. Hear from HRSA officials on a key program of importance to social work programs!
