The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR) is currently accepting applications for the Short Courses on Innovative Methodologies and Approaches in the Behavioral and Social Sciences program, to support to development of educational training programs aimed at enhancing data collection, analysis techniques, and underutilized research designs in behavioral and social sciences research (BSSR). In collaboration with other NIH institutes, centers, and offices, this program seeks to advance the skills necessary to BSSR that are not well-addressed by existing educational programs. Proposed educational courses should integrate transdisciplinary skills and approaches and focus on widely applicable research methodologies and analytical techniques rather than specific disease areas to support broader advancements in BSSR. OBSSR intends to commit $1 million in fiscal years (FYs) 2026 and 2028 to fund 3-4 awards. The deadline for applications is April 9, 2025.
