    Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone has any suggested guidelines for the number of field students an adjunct field liaison should have on their caseload. I am at a large institution and we use appx 35-40 adjunct field liaisons who on average have a caseload of 14-18 students (and some do double loads). Any information would be helpful!

    Dr. Williams,

We assign field liaisons to a practice course since our practice courses run concurrent with practicum education. The cap on the practice courses is 25.

We use community liaisons as well caseloads vary from 10 to 25 depending on the request from the community liaison.

The University of Texas at El Paso has both BSW and MSW programs. Our programs place about 75 MSW students in internships and about 50 BSW students every summer for Fall and Spring semesters. There are only two of us that are field liaisons for all of these students. We both also teach seminars, 3 sections each semester.
