    Dear all,

    The following highlights the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) and the Loan Repayment programs (LRPs), with the deadline for applications due tomorrow, December 4th. 

    The SLRP is a student loan repayment program that can repay part or all of a borrower's student loan debt. Doctoral level social workers are eligible to apply for the SLRP, given employment at the agency. Eligible employees may be considered for student loan repayment assistance up to $10,000 per calendar year, with a $60,000 limit per agency. 

    The LRPs are a set of programs established by Congress that repays up to $50,000 annually of a researcher's qualified educational debt in return for a commitment to conduct biomedical or behavioral research. There are two LRPs, one for researchers not employed by NIH (Extramural) and another for researchers employed by NIH (Intramural) with both requiring applicants to possess a D.S.W. from an accredited institution.
