Bio

Aisha Coulson-Walters, LMSW-C, is a leader within the MSW Field Education Program for the Social of Social Work at Western Michigan University. Aisha is a licensed clinical social worker, educator, and leadership consultant with over 15 years of experience in higher education, mental health, and organizational development. Prior to joining WMU, she served as adjunct faculty at Simmons University, Kellogg Community College, and Jackson College, where she integrated narrative-informed, equity-centered pedagogy to support adult learners in the areas of sociology and social work programs. Her teaching emphasizes the intersection of systems theory, relational dynamics, and culturally responsive practices. Additionally, Aisha is the founder of In-Balanse Consulting Services, where she provides therapy, coaching, and consultative work for professionals and women experiencing deep transitional experiences within their lives.
