  • Last Day of APM 2024

That’s a wrap for the Annual Program Meeting. We closed out with our Social Work Futures Speaker, Dr. Cutcha Risling Baldy. She detailed the impact of capitalism and colonization on Indigenous communities and the environment.

We honored influential leaders in the social work community during our "Awards Luncheon: Honoring Our Own." Thanks to our attendees and shoutout to our sponsors and student volunteers for another incredible conference. We’ll see you all next year in Denver! #cswe24 #onecswe

  • Day 2 of 2024 APM!

Day 2 of the 2024 Annual Program Meeting (APM) was full of prizes and great receptions!

Our Carl A. Scott plenary speaker was Ramona Denby-Brinson, PhD, MSW, BSW. Her speech focused on the research conducted by KinCarolina and advocating for kinship care.

The membership meeting included updates and the tech giveaway raffle. CSWE President/CEO Halaevalu F.O. Vakalahi and CSWE Board Chair Hilary Weaver discussed the CSWE Full Land Acknowledgement Statement and the Teaching Guide: Indigenous Peoples.

The night couldn’t end without the receptions. Attendees enjoyed reconnecting with colleagues, playing games, listening to live music, dancing, and eating plenty of food and desserts.

Tell us your favorite part of APM!
