    The CSWE Public Policy Initiative (PPI) wanted to share the below funding opportunity from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).  The PPI is able to provide high-level context about this opportunity.

    AHRQ has announced a funding opportunity inviting Large Research (R01) Project grant applications to support novel, high-impact studies evaluating the responsiveness of healthcare delivery systems, healthcare professionals, and the overall U.S. healthcare enterprise to the COVID-19 pandemic.  ARHQ is interested in funding research focused on evaluating topics such as:

    • "effects on quality, safety, and value of health system response to COVID-19;
    • the role of primary care practices and professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic;
    • how the response to COVID-19 affected socially vulnerable populations and people with multiple chronic conditions;
    • and implementation of digital healthcare, including innovations and challenges encountered in the rapid expansion of telehealth response to COVID-19."

    AHRQ encourages Letters of Intent to be submitted on June 1, 2020.  Applications are due on June 15, 2020 by 5:00 PM local time of applicant organization.
