Dear colleagues,
After two terms as UConn Dean, I have decided not to pursue a third term and will be stepping aside in June 2023 with a return to the faculty. It's been a wonderful ride and I am grateful to have been able to lead the SSW with its great faculty, staff and students. This will be an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a social work leader to move us into our next phase. Beyond the SSW, UConn has been a very supportive environment, invested in senior leadership. I have benefited greatly from the camaraderie of the deans across campus.
I have appreciated the collegiality of this group, particularly during the challenging last few years of the pandemic, and know that you will welcome the next UConn dean.
