I encourage it! Event planning and fundraising are integral to social work. I wonder if the other programs he was referring to were counseling or MFT programs, where the emphasis is on clinical hours with clients.

Hi everyone!
Does anyone have a policy regarding students participating in the fundraising efforts within the context of the practicum site placement? A supervisor asked if a student could participate in the execution of the agency fundraising events because other programs do not allow it. Other than money handling, I'm very curious about reasons some programs may not allow. I'd appreciate any insight anyone may have. Thanks!
