    The Social Work Futures Lab is thrilled to announce the upcoming "Shaping Social Work Futures: Utopias, Dystopias, and Everything in Between" online forum, taking place from May 7-10, 2024.

     This Forum aims to delve into the diverse landscapes of social work, exploring utopian visions, dystopian challenges, and the myriad possibilities that lie in between. This four-day event will feature thought-provoking discussions, insightful speakers, and interactive sessions, offering a unique platform to engage and co-create the future together.

    Event Details:

    • Date: May 7-10, 2024 (May 7,8 and 9th from 10am-4pm CT and May 10th from 10am-1pm CT)
    • Location: Online (ZOOM and Gather platforms)

    Another opportunity that will coincide with the Forum is the Dr. Mit Joyner Monuments of the Future Project. This activity will help you stretch your imagination to envision possible future scenarios where social breakthroughs have occurred.

     

    We will be offering 3 prizes for $1000 each for the most impactful of these creative monuments and 7 prizes at $200 dollars for honorable mentions. All 10 finalists will be asked to present his/her/their work at our upcoming forum in May of 2024. ALL SUBMISSIONS WILL BE DUE ON March 15, 2024. Judging will be done by a panel of guest futurists.
