Please feel free to circulate this announcement to your colleagues:

Simmons University School of Social Work's Center for Innovation in Behavioral Health Education and Research (CIBER) has received a prestigious grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The SAMHSA grant will fund the Institute for Trauma Treatment in Schools (ITTS), which will provide training to 850 Masters of Social Work students and 900 school-based practitioners in Massachusetts and across the nation on school-based mental health and trauma. This is a five-year collaborative project between Simmons University's CIBER and the Alliance for Inclusion and Prevention – organizations with a long history of providing state-of-the-art trauma training in school-based interventions.

We are looking to start our first cohort in mid September 2022. This will be a 5 week online cohort training model and it will be self paced for the students. We are looking to fill 7 cohorts of 16 students who are interested in trauma. If you have students who you believe would be a good fit, or are interested in learning more, please reach out to Carlie Capell at carlie.capell@simmons.edu.
