Announcing the Fall 2025 Issue of Applied Learning in Social Work Education
Dear Subscribers,
The fall 2025 issue of Applied Learning in Social Work Education is now available!
In this issue we highlight innovative, practicum-engaged approaches to teaching and learning.
We also mark a transition in hosting for The Conversation podcast. My heartfelt thanks to Dr. Katharine Dill for her vision in creating and leading the podcast since its launch. Her thoughtful conversations have deeply enriched our community. I am excited to step into the role of host and continue exploring timely topics shaping social work education.
This issue's episode features Marina Badillo-Diaz discussing the promise and ethical challenges of artificial intelligence in teaching and learning.
We are also proud to announce the 2025 Excellence in Practicum Education Scholarship Award winners: Amie Thurber, PhD, and Susan Halverson, MS, Portland State University, for their article "Reciprocity in Action: A Case Study of Field-Engaged Curriculum Revision."
We invite you to explore the fall issue and join us in celebrating the creativity, collaboration, and commitment that drive practicum education forward.
Warm regards,
Amy Skeen, DSW, LCSW, PEL
