CSWE Government Relations (GR) is sharing the following funding opportunity from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).  CSWE GR is able to provide high-level context about this opportunity.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is issuing a notice of special interest (NOSI) from a number of NIH Institutes, Centers, and Offices on Research Addressing Violence to Improve Health Outcomes.  The purpose of this notice is to address the role violence plays in health outcomes and the integration of "violence-related screening and interventions into health care settings".  Additionally, this notice encourages addressing exposure to violence, including community violence, child maltreatment, among others, through research aimed at developing and improving interventions focused on preventing violence and improving health outcomes.

Applicants are encouraged to select the NIH Institute and Center (IC) and associated funding opportunity announcement (FOA) application in response to the NOSI found here.  The NOSI pertains to due dates that occur on or after September 7, 2022 through October 5, 2025.
