    We are looking to hire a full-time faculty, the Director of Practice Education, for our BSW program at Colorado Mesa University. The deadline to apply is April 9th. 

    ABOUT THIS POSITION
     
    Summary:
    Colorado Mesa University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Social Work/Director of Practice Education. This 10-month position that provides leadership to the Practice Education for the BSW program including the overall direction and management of practice education, which encompasses: securing and approving practice sites and supervisors; placement of students in agencies; planning and collaboration with faculty in the delivery of the student practicum.  This position will also lead in updating practicum manuals, orientations, and evaluation tools.  This position will assist with maintaining compliance with CSWE accreditation standards.
     
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 
    As a faculty member in the department, this position is responsible for service, scholarship, student advising, and teaching. Other duties may be assigned. The standard teaching load for this position is nine credit hours per semester and will include Practicum Seminar I and II and Practicum I and II. The teaching assignment may also include Introduction to Social Work, practice courses, and flexibility to teach across the curriculum. 
    The standard teaching load at CMU undergraduate level is 12 credit hours per semester; however, this position will teach 9 credit hours per semester; some assigned courses may be taught on-line, hybrid, or via distance delivery modalities. Scholarship in the discipline, involvement with advising and service to the department and profession are expected.  
     
    Required Qualifications:  
    An MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, with two years post-MSW practice, and college teaching experience.
     
    Preferred Qualifications:
    Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience as a Practice/Field Director, Assistant Practice/Field Director, or Practice/Field Liaison; CSWE Accreditation Experience; Current LCSW licensure. Five-year practice experience beyond the master's level.
