    Dear Colleagues-

Summer semester is quickly approaching, and we have dozens of students expecting a summer BSW or MSW field placement. University policy is mandating that all student placements be remote/teletherapy exclusively as a condition of student placement.  Of course, this will eliminate dozens of potential agencies.

Are any of you in a similar situation, unable to pursue a full return to field during summer semester due to remote/teletherapy requirements and/or too few agencies and supervisors?  If so, are you aware of any discussions ongoing at CSWE, ASWB or your institutions to extend "field contingency plans" or alternative learning activities through summer semester?
    Thank you!

You can find our updated guidelines in the COVID-19 Response section of our website.  The guidelines currently cover all students graduating prior to December 31.  Depending on trends, we are regularly revising and revising our policies.
