    The CSWE Public Policy Initiative (PPI) is sharing a grant opportunity forecast announcement from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).  The PPI is able to provide high-level context about this opportunity.

    HRSA released a grant opportunity forecast for the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Training Program (ISTP).  The purpose of the ISTP "… is to expand the number of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, health service psychologists, and social workers trained to provide mental and substance use disorder services in underserved community-based settings that integrate primary care and mental and substance use disorder services." 

    Eligible applicants include: An entity with a demonstrated record of success in providing training for nurse practitioners, physician assistants, health service psychologists, and social workers;Teaching Health Centers; Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs); Community Mental Health Centers; Rural Health Clinics; or a health center operated by the Indian Health Service (HIS), an Indian Tribe, a tribal organization or an urban Indian organization.

    The estimated total program funding is $6 million with an award ceiling of $3 million.

    The estimated post date is November 9, 2020.
