Social Work Education

This presentation helps orient learners to current health issues and trends in suicide prevention and helps them identify existing and emerging roles of social workers within suicide prevention. During the COVID-19 pandemic, though necessary to prevent loss of life due to COVID-19, public health measures of “shelter-in-place” and closures of workplaces expose many people to experiencing situations that are linked to suicide risk, such as isolation and job loss.
