Dear Colleagues,
I hope this message finds you well. As many of us are deeply committed to promoting social justice in all its forms, I wanted to share an initiative that aligns with these values and our collective work in social work education.
A group of social work professionals, educators, and students have come together to draft a letter urging the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) to adopt standalone competencies in reproductive justice and abolition frameworks. These competencies are crucial for preparing future social workers to address the complex intersectionality of race, gender, and social justice in their practice.
We are seeking additional support from our peers in the field who believe in the importance of this initiative. If this resonates with you, I encourage you to read the letter and, if you agree, add your signature. Your voice would help amplify this call for meaningful change in our profession.
You can view the full letter and sign here.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to continuing these critical conversations.
